this past Saturday, my very lovely sister in Christ, Melody, finally tied the knot with a super awesome brother in Christ. it was a rainy day at first, but it turned out to be a really beautiful one as the sun started to peek through the clouds. God's glory is clearly displayed through the relationship that Melody and Julian have, and I'm sure all of their closest friends would agree. Melody's friendship is such a huge blessing to me and I'm so blessed to have been able to be there and tear up as Melody walked down the aisle, making for one of the most stunning brides my eyes have ever seen. praise God for Melody + Julian and I'm super excited to see all that God has in store for both of them.
on another note, I also couldn't help but to tear up like mad when Melody was walking down the aisle because it made me think of my sister and how she'll be doing the same thing in just under 2 weeks. crazy, isn't it? it hasn't really hit me yet, and I tell myself I'm strong and I don't see myself balling- but I really can't promise that anymore. as I've grown and continue to grow, the beauty of marriage means much more to me and I now find myself tearing up at every wedding I go to. man, I still remember balling HARD during the ceremony of my sister's best friend's wedding, yeah no kidding! marriage and love are beautiful blessings and amazing gifts from God that we all ought to love and respect. and I guess now that I'm a little older (still a baby! I know), it all has started to mean a lot more to me on so many different levels. and with my sister's coming up so soon? oh boy, LORD knows all of the emotions that will be going down in my heart that day. I'm pretty sure my makeup might just slide right off during the ceremony.
oh, and another good picture from the wedding this past Saturday?

to tell you the truth, those yellow wedges of mine got kinda messed up from dancing too hard! but of course, it was worth it.
oh, and tell me why I'm always the sweatiest person on the dance floor- when I'm not even tired yet?
I have so many more photos to share... so many good talks, good stories and good laughs from this past weekend. it was pretty bomb dot com and I would replay it all again if I could. yesterday was my sister's bachelorette party! and oh boy, that day alone deserves one big fat post. it was pretty much the greatest way to celebrate my sister before we send her off to the married life. (seriously, I can't believe it's only 12 days away) so, stay tuned!
hope your Monday was super nice!
I started school today.
and to tell you the truth, I was so excited. ;)
xo.
